Tagalog news: Caravan ng Antipolo LGU, naghatid ng serbisyo sa Barangay Cupang

ANTIPOLO CITY, Rizal, Set 14 (PIA) — Pinangunahan ng pamahalaang panglungsod ng Antipolo ang patuloy na ginagawang Social Services Caravan sa Purok 4 Zone 8, Cupang, Antipolo City. Hatid ng City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) ang naturang programa kasama ang kanilang partners for services.

“Narito po ngayon ang Social Services Caravan ng Antipolo kasama ang ating mga private partners sa pamumuno po ni Atty. Menchie Leyble, executive assistant for social services at siyempre ang ating head ng CSWDO na si Nadeia Sarte. Ang lahat po ng tumutulong dito sa Social Services Caravan mula sa iba’t ibang departamento ng ating pamahalaan. At sa lahat po ng mga opisyales ng barangay, maraming salamat po sa pagsama ninyo dito sa ating Social Caravan,” sabi ni Mayor Nilo Leyble.

“Ito pong Social Services Caravan na ito ay ginawa natin upang maipadama natin sa ating mga kababayan na ibinababa natin sa kanila ang serbisyo. Karaniwan ginagawa natin ito sa mga covered court. Pero ngayon ang serbisyong ito ay dinadala natin doon sa mga taong hindi na nararating at nasa liblib na lugar,” dagdag pa ni Leyble.

Mahigit 1,000 residente ang naserbisyohan ng Social Services Caravan. Nabigyan ng tulong ang mga may karamdaman, nagpapabunot ng ngipin, nagpapatala ng libreng birth registration at nagsagawa rin ng oryentasyon para sa pangkabuhayan at mga legal na tulong sa mga may kasong nais idulog.

Maliban sa medical and dental services, nagsagawa rin sila ng libreng bakuna sa mga may alagang hayop gaya ng aso at pusa. Para naman sa mga kabataan nagkaroon ng feeding program ang CSWDO at binigyan ng bitamina ang mga malnourished na bata. (CPG/GG,Antipolo PIO)

Antipolo, Foundation give talk on breast cancer

ANTIPOLO CITY, Rizal, Sept 6 (PIA) — The Office of the Social Services has partnered with Gift2Life Foundation to conduct a breast cancer awareness program for city hall personnel and residents of Antipolo.

The seminar was held recently at the session hall of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, through the combined efforts of the Social Services team, Gift2Life, and office of the vice mayor headed by Susan Garcia-Say. Around 100 participants attended the seminar.

Executive Assistant for Social Services Menchie Leyble said every city government personnel should know the real truth about breast cancer.

“We have been traveling in different corners of the city, even to the far-flung sitios to spread the truth about breast cancer. We feel our city hall employees, especially our women who are more vulnerable to the disease, should also be informed. We have been planning this together with Dr. Tina Santos of Gift2Life to conduct this seminar. We firmly believe that our employees will be a big help in our information campaign in order to reach our citizens,” said Atty. Leyble.

“It is very important for our friends and co-workers to know the true source of breast cancer and the harm it may cause. We are thankful to the city government of Antipolo for their concern in order to inform them of the dangers of getting breast cance,” said Dr. Tina Santos of Gift2Life.

Gift2Life Foundation is a non-profit private organization dedicated to teach the society the real facts and myths about breast cancer. They have been in partnership with local government units for information dissemination and to reach even the remotest sitios and barangays to provide assistance in the treatment of the dreaded cancer.

“We encourage people to avail of the free seminars, examination and biopsy provided by the Gift2Life while they are here. The group will do their rounds in the city to inform the public how to avoid cancer. This is a lifestyle disease, so it can be avoided,” said Atty. Leyble. (CPG/GG-Antipolo PIO)
