Rizal business groups to benefit from shared services facility

ANTIPOLO CITY, Rizal, Sept 11 (PIA) — Ten business groups from Rizal province signed a memorandum of agreement with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Calabarzon and DTI Rizal provincial office which will entitle them to receive support from the agency’s shared services facility (SSF) program at the Tahanang Walang Hagdanan, Cainta, Rizal.
Tahanang Walang Hagdanan, Montealba Producers Cooperative, Boyet Ynares Ladies Movement, Rizal Exporters and Manufacturers Association Incorporated, University of Rizal System – Morong Campus, Sipsipin Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Morong Retailers and Community Multi Purpose Cooperative, Sampaloc Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Multi Purpose Cooperative, Llano Multi Purpose Cooperative and Rotary Club of East Rizal representatives signed the MOA with DTI 4A Regional Director Marilou Quinco-Toledo and DTI-Rizal Provincial Director Mercy Parreno where the groups will be provided equipment to boost their businesses.
Parreno said the agency is particularly looking forward to the URS-Morong’s food testing facility which may be beneficial to the province’s food industry as a whole
There are currently 15 SSF co-operators in Rizal while five other groups are still under evaluation for the program. Quinco-Toledo said DTI aims to help countryside MSMEs in the Calabarzon region such as those in Rizal province. (GG-PIA4A)
