Antipolo celebrates Field Day and Harvest Festival

ANTIPOLO CITY, Rizal, Sept. 4 — The City Government of Antipolo celebrated Field Day and Harvest Festival at Perez Farm, Calawis, Antipolo City.

This is together with Allied Botanical Corporation (ABC), Perez Agri-Eco Tourism and Natural Farm and City Agriculture Office intending to promote new farming methods and induce healthy market network between farmers and suppliers.

The event was organized by the ABC, which had been a long time partner of Perez Farm and the Antipolo City Government through its City Agriculture Office in enhancing agriculture products marketability and serving local farmers for them to earn new farming skills and techniques, attain quality seedlings and acquire other agricultural services.

The program includes technical presentations for farmers and investors regarding organic farming and other new adaptable and easy farming methods, practices on increasing farm produce and helpful marketing strategies.

Meanwhile, traders and buyers were also invited to be able to communicate and extend their support to the farmers of Antipolo City.

Present during the event were Antipolo Mayor Jun Ynares together with Rizal Gov. Nini Ynares, Perez Farm owner retired General Arnulfo Perez, ABC Area Sales Manager Rudy Dean, Antipolo City Agriculturist Dr. Cletildo De Asis, Provincial Board Member Armando Villamayor, City Councilor Ronald Barcena, Provincial Agriculture Office OIC Dr. Reynaldo Bonita, other officials from the Rizal Provincial and Antipolo city governments and ABC staff

In a statement, Ynares said, “Antipolo city, despite its fast industrial and commercial development, still commits itself in helping farmers in setting for agricultural breakthroughs like increasing farm produce by introducing new, reliable and safe farming techniques and enhancing products’ marketability by building infrastructures like farm to market roads and trading areas.”
