ANTIPOLO CITY, Rizal, July 18 (PIA) — Two more school facilities located in University of Rizal System (URS)-Tanay campus and in Mayamot Elementary School in Antipolo City were recently inaugurated by the province’s local government officials.
Rizal Governor Rebecca Ynares and Vice-Gov. Frisco San Juan Jr. recently led the inauguration and turn-over of a one-storey six-door ladies dormitory in the URS-Tanay campus to university officials headed by its president, Dr. Marita Canapi in the mountain barangay of Sampaloc. This school infrastructure facility was funded by the provincial government amounting to more than P3.33 million.
The Rizal provincial government is continuously assisting the university. In 2012, URS received more than P90 million from the provincial government for buildings, equipment, and other educational facilities and materials.
Meanwhile in Antipolo City, Gov. Ynares also led provincial, city and education officials in the blessing and turn-over ceremony of a two-storey building which will house eight classrooms in Mayamot Elementary School.
The school building was constructed and funded by Pagcor under its corporate social responsibility program which has benefited numerous government and private entities.
Both Rizal Gov. Ynares and Mayor Jun Ynares, have prioritized education in their administrative agenda and have been supportive of the public-private partnership program for infrastructure and other services-related support. (PIO/CPG/GG/PIA4A, Rizal)
