ANTIPOLO CITY, Rizal, July 12 (PIA) –The Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE)-Rizal through the assistance of the National Housing Authority (NHA) Bagong Nayon, Antipolo project office recently awarded livelihood starter kits to 30 local of Barangay Pinugay, Baras, Rizal.
The starter kits consisting of hair coloring, make up, nail care and foot spa equipment worth P 5,300 each were provided by DoLE in cooperation with Hortaleza Beauty Center (HBC).
DOLE senior labor and employment officer Vicky Natanauan said the beneficiaries were NHA identified residents of the local resettlement area in Southville 9, Pinugay, Baras.
Aside from the turnover of kits, HBC staff was invited by DOLE to hold training on the use of their newly acquired equipment.
The starter kits and training aim to give locals an opportunity to earn money. DOLE and NHA is also set to provide similar starter kits in Tanay, Rizal on July 19.
Present during the awarding of starter kits were DOLE-Rizal officer-in-charge Engr. Mercedes Delgado, NHA Southern Luzon coordinator Sally Sarmiento, DOLE, NHA and HBC staff. (GG-PIA4A)
