ANTIPOLO CITY, Rizal, Dec. 13 (PIA) –Hundreds of residents from Sitio Leyva II, Barangay Sta. Cruz, Antipolo City recently benefitted from “Lingap sa Barangay” spearheaded by the City Health Office in coordination with Atty. Menchie Leyble, executive assistant for Social Services and other city hall departments, programs and offices.
The program delivers basic medical services under the LGU’s agenda as part of the mayor’s vision of a healthy community.
“The actitivity is meant for our citizens especially for those in the far-flung sitios which are seldomly reached by medical and other services.” said Mayor Leyble.
The initiative delivers medical and dental services as well as free medicine and vitamins, rabies vaccination conducted by the City Veterinary Office (CVO), free haircut and massage from the City Cooperative and Livelihood Office (CCLO) and live birth registration from the Local Civil Registry (LCR). The Antipolo Community Hospital (ACH) under Dr. Evelyn Chua and Dr. Alfredo Paspe also provided additional support to the medical program.
“Lingap sa Barangay is done on a regular basis for citizens as a solution to their health needs” said Dr. Antonio Reillo, head of the CHO.
In addition, free legal service were provided to further reach out to the needs of local constituents from marital problems, land and properties, birth and other legal matters. (Antipolo PIO)
