ANTIPOLO CITY, Rizal, Dec 11 (PIA) — Around 118 Certificate of Land Ownership Award Titles (CLOAs) were recently distributed by the Department of Agrarian Reform – Rizal to 102 beneficiaries of barangays San Juan and Inarawan, Antipolo City.
An estimated total of 34.5 hectares worth of CLOAs were awarded by DAR Provincial Agrarian Reform Officer (PARO) Ruben Nepomuceno and Antipolo Municipal Agrarian Reform Officer (MARO) Bismark Elma to members of the Maklang Pasong Palanas Farmers’ Association Inc this December 10 at Sitio Pasong Palanas, Brgy. San Juan, Antipolo City.
Elma, however, reminded that the titles distributed come with obligations. “The titles we have distributed are not for free. We hope that you do not sell the land but instead put it to good use,” Said Elma.
He added that the land titles distributed were bought from the previous land owners by Landbank and that awardees will be obliged to pay annually for the next 30 years.
Also present to award the certificates to beneficiaries were Rizal Governor Jun Ynares III, Executive Assistant for Social Services and Antipolo Atty. Menchie Leyble, Rizal Board Member Atty. Joel Huertas, and Brgy. San Juan Chairman Julie Bolanos. (GG-PIA4A)
