The beneficiaries came from seven barangays of Antipolo, Rizal who worked for 10 days from August to September. The program employed residents of several barangays who cleaned and unclogged creeks, rivers, and tributaries with debris and other waste materials. Others became street sweepers.
Rizal Gov. Jun Ynares III handed out the pay to the beneficiaries in a ceremony at the Ynares Center, Antipolo, Rizal.
“We laud this commendable program. Besides imparting to our constituents the importance of proper waste management, it gives them the opportunity to earn a living,” said Ynares.
Meanwhile, other beneficiaries of the program being implemented province-wide will also receive their cash pay out upon completion of the 10-day program. (CPG/GG-PIA4A/Rizal PIO)
