Antipolo health office leads bloodletting activity

ANTIPOLO CITY, Rizal, Sept 27 — The Philippine Red Cross Rizal chapter – East Rizal Branch and the Antipolo City Health Office led a bloodletting activity held at the Mulawin Covered Court in Barangay San Roque.

The bloodletting activity with the theme “Dugo Mong Alay Dugtong sa Aking Buhay” aimed to collect at least 300 to 500 quality blood donors. It also seeks to increase public awareness about the importance of blood donation in saving lives.

“Aside from providing basic medical services, the blood donation program also aims to support our citizens, ” said Dr. Antonio Reillo Jr.

Almost 100 city hall personnel supported the bloodletting activity in response to the call of public service to the community.

“Donating blood is more of a privilege since not everybody is given a chance to give their blood for those who need it. I am willing to help in my own little way,” said Kenneth Cruz of the city human resource management office (CHRMO). (ANTIPOLO CITY,CPG/GG,PIA4A)
