ANTIPOLO CITY, Rizal, Sept 25 (PIA) — The Local Government of Cardona, in cooperation with the Department of Trade and Industry-Rizal Provincial Office and the Department of Labor and Employment-Rizal Provincial Office, will be conducting a three-day Skills Upgrading Training on Water Hyacinth cum Product Development on September 26-28 at the Cardona Municipal Hall, Cardona, Rizal.
This activity is part of the continuing assistance package for water hyacinth.
The assistance aims to establish a sustainable water hyacinth livelihood project for farmer and fishers, women and youth of Looc, Cardona, Rizal.
Earlier this year, people’s organizations Looc Livelihood Association and Christian Foundation for Children and Aging were benefitted with the technology on water hyacinth preservation and processing.
Because of the Water Hyacinth Project, Looc Livelihood Association was one of the recipients of the Department of Labor and Employment’s Integrated Livelihood Program towards Community Enterprise Development. (DTI-Rizal)
