RSBSA training ongoing until September 20 – NSO Rizal

ANTIPOLO CITY, Rizal, Sept 18 (PIA) — Local government units (LGUs) of Rizal are undergoing training from the National Statistics Office (NSO) Rizal for the Registry System in Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA) from September 17 to 20.

NSO Rizal Provincial Statistics Officer Nelia Ballesfin said all LGUs are undergoing 4th level training.

RSBSA is an NSO registration procedure which aims to list and register farmers, farm labourers and fisherfolk nationwide and gather basic information on them. The formed database will be used to provide the national government with data for national and subnational development involving the fishery and agriculture sectors.

The Municipality of Angono is holding its RSBSA training at the Arveemar Subdivision Clubhouse, Brgy. San Isidro; Antipolo City at the Eastern Hotel (formerly Las Brisas); Baras at the Municipal Library, Brgy. San Juan; Binangonan at the University of Rizal System-Binangonan and Rizal Science High School Binangonan; Cainta at the People’s Center; Cardona at the MC San Juan Elementary School, Brgy. San Roque; Jalajala at the Jalajala Elementary School, Brgy. Special District; Rodriguez at D Rock Resort, Brgy. San Isidro; Morong at the Morong National High School Library; Pililia at the University of Rizal System-Pililia Audio Visual Room; San Mateo at the Superhealth Center, Brgy. Guitnang Bayan; Taytay at the Hamaka Hall, New Taytay Municipal Hall and Teresa at the Women Conference Room in the Teresa municipal hall.

RSBSA is an initiative by the Cabinet cluster on Good Governance and Anti-Corruption chaired by President Aquino to systematize information on said sectors.

Aside from NSO other line government agencies involved in the program are the Department of Budget and Management for funding, the Department of the Interior and Local Government for supervision and implementation of RSBSA in the barangay level and the Department of Agriculture and Department of Agrarian Reform for basic concepts, terms and definitions in the registration.
